About the Opportunity
We currently have a requirement for 2 Senior Tax Managers, one to be based at our Balcatta office and one to be based at our Geraldton office.
We are in search of rising stars who can take this autonomous leadership role a truly make it their own.
You will be required to offer guidance and support to a medium sized team of accountants, ensuring efficient policies and procedures are in place for smooth internal operations.

Key points of this role include:
- Nurture lasting relationships with clients and contribute to the positive reputation of the business brand within the community
- Serve clients through an all-inclusive approach, including gaining understanding of their business, their accounting and tax requirements and obligations, their corporate record obligations, and their management needs
- Advise clients regarding their accounting, tax, management information, banking, and other business issues
- Ensure our clients become aware of our holistic approach to financial welfare
- Co-ordination of work scheduling and processes for the accounting and tax team, including monitoring the outsourcing of client work, to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures and deliver timely outcomes for the client
- Contribute to the development, application, and documentation of effective procedures within the accounting and tax team that are compliant with professional standards and obligations
To be successful you will have:
- A Commerce or Business degree
- CA or CPA Qualified
- 10 years or more in Australian accounting industry
- Ability to handle clients and the varying dynamics of the role
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards and complex business taxation issues

What will you be doing:
As a financial planner at Fortuna’s Balcatta office, you will provide holistic financial advice to both new and existing clients. You will initially build these client relationships in Perth, with freedom to eventually travel to Fortuna’s regional office to meet clients and participate in presentations and events hosted by the company.

- Extensive experience working as a financial planner in Australia
- Current AR status (registered on ASIC)
- FAESA pass status
- A tertiary degree aligned with industry education requirements
- Proven experience in advising high net-worth clients with SMSF’s, trusts and/or company structures
- Experience in building multi-layered portfolios and various types of portfolios to suit clients’ life-stage and individual needs
- Strong relationship building skills
- The ability and willingness to advise and service clients from all walks of life
- A great understanding of industry-specific compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite with the ability to pick up new software quickly
- An accounting background/qualification is desired but not necessary
- Strong familiarity with XPlan is highly desired but not necessary

Principal Lawyer – Balcatta
What will you be doing:
We are searching for an experienced professional who can take on this autonomous role and truly make it their own. As a Principal Lawyer at Fortuna’s Balcatta office, you will ensure effective, timely, and accurate preparation of legal documents, based on professional judgement and working with clients to draw out their needs and objectives. You will be required to display high-level client relationship building skills and work with minimum supervision.
This role also includes some business development activities, including delivering seminars on estate planning issues to existing and potential clients, and participating in professional associations which may generate referrals. After all, we want a leader who will display the skills required to growth the law division of the company, bring in new business outside the Fortuna group and lead the team into the future.
